11.44am German biplane flew over from the direction of CONTALMAISON over our trenches and back again.
Remainder of day all quiet, practically no enemy's sniping.
5.30pm One Coy of 7th Bn R Berkshire Regt arrived to be attached to our two left cots and centre coy for 4 days instruction, two platoons to each coy.
6.45 Battalion stood to arms.
Between 9.25pm and 9.40pm enemy fired 16 trench mortars from usual places at support trenches of the ILOT. Our 4.5" Howtzer answered with 10 shells, all quiet during night.
Patrols went out from left & centre coys, very little to report.
